"no one said it was easy...no one ever said it would be this hard."
i love that song by coldplay.
yes no one said it would be easy raising for little kids in a 2 bedroom trailer. but we are doing it! i'm not gonna lie. somedays i'm fine and happy where we are at with what we have and then the selfish me gets annoyed that i have no space or real walls!
but then i bring my self back to the reality of life and what's important.
i am thankful that we have each other and a roof over are head. we have everything we NEED, not every thing we WANT, but that is where dreams come in and hard work. i am thankful that we have each other to learn and to grow and the knowledge to do so. i get mad myself for complaining and whining and then i am back to being me...and sucking it up! we did ask for this.
so here's back to staying grounded and grateful and living in the country.
every night i pray for patience and then every day i get some new disaster.
the other day it was pink lipstick smeared all over my nice anthropologie quilt. thankfully i use prespot from melaleuca and can get any stain out!
yesterday emotional girls, whiney boys, and that damn rooster crapping on the front porch. AND he wouldn't let the kids get in the durango when i needed them too, he chased them around, they ended up inside 3 times. then he took gulianna's ballet slipper and i had to chase HIM around the property. yes we were late. ALWAYS. these are the things that happen. i try to load up the vehicle early and something will always come up. i told gulianna to just tell her teacher that the rooster took her slipper. then i was mad at the stupid rooster and wanted to kill it. so i jumped back out of the durango and went after it, luckily i found her ballet slipper instead.
today no one can just leave baby jeremy alone. they pester him when he's sleeping, they pester him when he's happy, and then they make him mad! then while i was washing dishes i set him up on the counter in the bumbo (yes i know...you're not suppose to do that) and then i was finished. and i thought i better set him down now. but then isa was fighting with anthony so i went to settle the fight and in the half a second i turned my back, jeremy grabbed the lid to the sugar jar and chucked it on the floor. i created that mess, because i didn't listen to myself when i should have set him on the floor. now all the little rascals are in bed after i scolded isabella for being a trash digger. earlier she was playing with melted ice cream pouring it into different cups. and now just a while ago she was crushing every last eggshell. grrrr...
this is why i pray for patience. maybe if i pray for chaos i will get peace??!
i really want to go to bed, but i am going to make an effort to post photos, every night, like i said i would!
i did a local boutique...this weekend, and i am glad it's over so i can get my scrapbooking stuff cleaned up and organized again! we want our living room back! (it wouldn't be such a disaster if my scrapbook room was done...but levi is "working on it!") we did get my display done and of course it was the best one! i love to have it represent me and what i'm about...it really is a part of me and looks like it came from my home. it sure beats a table with a draped tablecloth! no offense, i just like to be creative all around... i had a few people that wouldn't even come into my booth, i overheard them saying "a chandelier, that is WAY over the top!" seriously...well maybe i AM! i sometimes have that effect on certain people. oh well, i am who i am, and i am CREATIVE ;)
i totally forgot to take photos with my real camera...i even had it, but i left it in the durango. so here's my instagrams.
this is the least amount of product i've ever displayed at an event...with being in a small town, i wasn't going to make a big haul. levi was surprised. i told him, this IS all i am bringing! which was kind of nice for once.
simplify...especially just starting out again, and with 4 little ones instead of 2.
next time it will be BIG! and full of more fun things!
cherrie had her cute owl pincushions, toothfairy pillows, footwarmers, and bibs in my booth! i had gulianna and isabella selling them, they sold quite a few! check out her blog the cherry barrow and she's on etsy too!
in between selling, the girls would sneak off to the back room where gulianna would show isa her ballet moves! they had fun, i thought half way they would be tired and wanted to go home, i asked and they wanted to stay and sell stuff. can't wait for the next one!
and if you see something you want please visit my shop!
we made it through the first day at a local spring boutique!
i was going to have isabella, anthony and jeremy with me, but after anthony set up his train tracks clear to the booth next door and used her wood word cutouts as his train "tunnels" levi decided that it would be best if he stayed home. so he skipped work for the day to take care of the boys.
this was us on our way, all loaded up!
isabella hanging grandma cherrie's bows up!
isabella, anthony (crying cuz i just got after him for playing at the other booth) and jeremy...behind our display. gulianna was in kindergarten.
levi putting up my display! he may or may not be swearing...but he does it because he loves me, and all my crazy ideas! i am thankful for his support and work that he does!
pouting! she didn't WANT a picture!
getting ready to go home for the night! gulianna and jeremy, look how big he is! (and poor gulianna, she must have got something in her eye, it was so red and irritated. we got home and washed it out.)
almost the same photo...but jeremy is looking in this one!
i really don't make time for this blog...like i want, it's fun to look back on photos! been sick for about 2 weeks now. i broke my streak of not catching anything this year. everyone in my family caught everything going around, except me, until now.
i've also been staying up late working on stuff to sell at a local boutique this weekend, and i still haven't even made my booth display! eeeek! i put the PRO in procrastination remember!? it will be cute...just not as big as i've had in the past. i'm a bit rusty...but excited, looking forward to doing more boutiques too.
after this weekend...i'm making it a priority, one hour a day to upload photos on here. for me!
THINK SPRING! because it just snowed. (10:30 pm) AGAIN.
our grass is so green though! with all the rain and scattered snow storms here and there. still not as bad as idaho. i'll take crappy utah weather instead!
