i finally got to go! claudia and i met chelsey, annareigh, rj and giovanna in spanish fork. it was so cool! i recommend going at least once! since i missed the fairgrounds parking lot, i just kept driving til i found another place to park. then we walked about a mile to the krishna temple. there were so many people of all ages young and old either leaving or going to the holi festival. probably the closest i'll come to experience the 70s... i loved all the colors and happy people! sunglasses are a must...so that you don't get the color in your eyes, you never know where it'll end up. and don't forget to completely cover your vehicle seats with trash bags and/or old towels. definitely going again next year!
we were suprised when we woke up to rain yesterday morning, i rarely check the weather. always seems so unpredictable close to the mountains any way. spring break does not always mean warm sunny weather! i did some prep work on my easter banners. the kids put together puzzles and played with toys. watched a few movies. played outside in the rain, jumping on the trampoline. that was one of my favorite things to do when we were growing up...as soon as it would downpour or hail we would run out to the trampoline! it's like jumping in huge puddles but even better because your on a trampoline. we went for a snow creme run, well the kids had ice cream cones.
(old photo...i didn't take pictures.)
read some books...
had tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwiches...our dinner actually matched what was on the chalkboard. that's been on there for a year!
and last baked some banana bread. one of our favorites!
today we woke up to snow...do you want to build a snowman?!
just got out of the movies! waiting for pizza at little caesar's so i thought i would just quickly blog. levi went with jeremy to watch a car movie, can't remember the name. and we left an hour later to watch sherman and mr. peabody. it was funny! and we didn't have to go to the bathroom once. jeremy was good til the very end, when levi snuck in.
he brings joy to our life! who knew we needed him here. "jeremy sunshine cute!" yes he has lots of nicknames. he sure is a handful though. climbing on the countertops, kitchen table...hanging on the light fixture...saying "weeeeee!" one of his favorites is sitting on my computer desk pressing that oh so tempting blue light on my shipping label printer! ya he's wasted A LOT of labels.
i look forward to 11:00 am every day! (and he does too.) my only child that has been consistent in nap time. jeremy will sleep any where from 2 to 3 hours...if there is no interruptions. which makes it a bit hard in a 2 bedroom house...i'm constantly telling isabella to whisper. (which she can't!) and keeping anthony out of our room. and any one else that comes in slamming doors and yelling, so hard most days. so if i can time it just right i can get something done in my scrapbook room!
and a bit tired. i'm always working, but i choose too! i set a goal to sell lots so that we can make a trip to disneyland next month, and i did...can't wait! thanks to all my friends and customers that support my small business.
--> link is on the sidebar to the polka dot barn.
this is what we did all last week! and it really is my favorite part...kitting all the soLUCKY junque banners. this was the very last batch of banners.
a tiny portion of what we made.
needed a photo in my green vintage suitcase!
i spent sunday cleaning up a bit. and restocking my mailers. ya you wouldn't be able to tell that i cleaned anything up, but i did! mostly trash. now i really need to hire a clean up crew ;)
levi and i got to break away for a few hours to go to stake conference. it was a nice little break too! we were matching with our wingtip shoes. i enjoyed listening to the talks that were spoken tonight. should have went for snow cremes too! ahh it's been too long.
