I love Halloween...it is my favorite holiday! This year I was actually on top of it, and decorated for Halloween on Sept. 2, that's a miracle! Over the years I have collected my Halloween decorations, and I love every one of them. Halloween makes me happy...whoooohoooo!
This is my little Halloween witch that I got from my Grandma for my first Halloween...
my {Halloween tree}...probably my most favorite item, just my style!
and I added two new decorations to my collection this year...
{my Halloween banner}
and my new {Halloween tree}

Here is my little devil, had I known what was going to happen later on that day, I wouldn't have put her in this outfit...
{warning l-o-n-g post}
I got up early to clean the house for our family Halloween party, then we still had to go to Scrapalicious and work, plus go to Idaho Falls for some last minute errands...and that is when everything went wrong, {I did not have the universe with me that day, if you've ever heard of The Secret...lol}
soooo this is what happened...
First stop-Rigby house that Levi has been working on, I had to trade the car for the van, so that the balloons would fit...plus he didn't leave the keys in the van, he put them in Colton's bronco, in the shop, waste of time, plus I had to change out Gulianna's car seat.
First stop-Jamba Juice, it was necessary, Gulianna only had oatmeal for breakfast, I didn't have anything, and it was already around 4pm...so we get there and it is completely packed, I wait like almost 20 minutes for a Jamba, when its usually really fast.
next was Roberts to pick up my balloon order...they were ready, but they were so busy, I waited and waited, finally I said these are my balloons and I have to go, they wanted to check my receipt, make sure it was me...blah blah blah, i took them and left.
Then I went to Sam's Club, to pick up pictures (yes I could have done it the day before but I forgot) I parked in the firelane, left Gulianna in the van, with it running and the air conditioner was on, don't even think about judging me...then the guy in the photo center hands me my pictures but can't ring me up, because he is still on break, so I have to pay at the eye center, and his computer gets locked up...but then it ended up working, figures...then I come back to Gulianna to find her sitting on her Jamba cup, so she grabbed mine. Luckily nothing spilled out.
{in the meantime, I was in search of some pink m&m's and everyone was out of them, so I was on the phone with 411 to get the number to Walgreen's across the street, they were checking, but I was already there by the time they got back on the phone.}
so I stop at Walgreen's, grab the pink m&m's, and no one is ready to check me out. Then finally someone comes, and there computers are locked, they can't use them. I said I am really in a hurry can't I just leave you the money and you can ring it up when your computer starts working again? "No we have to scan it in." (they were the only freakin' store that had PINK M&M's!) I waited like 10 minutes, and I said I can't pay anywhere else? okay maybe try the pharmacy...luckily their's worked...
I was then heading back to Rigby, to Broulims, because I forgot to buy ground beef the night before, what the ??? So we get there, I end up grabbing a couple more things, check out, and then start walking back to the van, I pull out the keys, Gulianna insists on grabbing them from me, so I let her hold them. Which normally isn't a problem, but then she pushed the "alarm button"...
and I don't drive the van...
so normally you would press the alarm button again, (on my car keys) and it would turn the alarm off. But the van is retarted. So then I press the unlock button, then the lock button, then every combination possible...still NOTHING, stupid van.
So then I put the keys in the door, and unlock it manually, to see if that works, but NO, the alarm is still going. So then I start the van, and it finally SHUTS OFF.
(meanwhile Gulianna is still sitting in the shopping cart, next to me)
so I shut the door, which was JUST UNLOCKED, so that I can load the bags, and put Gulianna in the van, and the stupid van door locks right before my eyes...
and it is already 5pm and people might be showing up at my house, where nobody is even home. And I still had stuff to do...
I would have made it in perfect time, if the van wasn't so stupid. So now, it's running, locked, and has a full tank of gas...
Luckily, Claudia hadn't left her house yet, so she picked me up, while I waited, I walked to my store with Gulianna, and the groceries, no I was not going to push a shopping cart, a couple blocks away...
Daniel ended up picking through the window, and we got it unlocked, an hour later...
Yeah, yeah, all this probably wouldn't have happened if I didn't wait until the last minute, but I still had to run errands that day, more importantly if I was intune with the Universe, it all would have worked out...lol
Our party turned out great, and we all had fun, so it was worth all the stress in the end!
THE END :)

Here is Gulianna a couple of weeks ago, we were going shopping for food for our family Halloween party, and on our way to Idaho Falls, I heard on the radio that the "first person" to show up dressed in a costume will win a $25 gift card to the Halloween Boutique, so we raced to get there, Gulianna wasn't dressed in her costume, just halloween clothes, but I had her kitty ears so I put them on her and painted on a quick nose and whiskers with my eyeliner...
but then when we got there the radio dj had to "ask" if she qualified for the gift card. I guess they didn't think she was a person. So, they asked the manager, and I'm sure she made this up that moment, that "they had to be 18 or older"...well then say that next time...
anyway, she still looked cute...this was her before we left the house,
{oh, and she was supposed to be wearing a black skirt, but I procrastinated and couldn't find one anywhere, at the last minute!}
and here she was in her carseat, after we got rejected...lol

oh just a list of albums I have started on...that need FINISHED!
Lorinda's circle journal {both of these can't be that hard, a 2 page 8x8 layout, what is my problem...} my circle journal 2004 Family Album {12x12} Bear Lake Album {8x8} Virginia City Album {9x9} Peru Album Birthday Album Rolodex project Halloween Album {from my childhood} SHE Album Lessons Learned Mini Book Yellowstone Trip-Mini Book Boating & Camping {mine} This list doesn't include the many UNFINISHED pages that I have stacked in my room. Some of these albums are almost finished, some I just started for the idea...I don't even know if that is the whole list, that is just what I can remember starting! Last night, I was motivated to make a couple of pages. I usually can't scrapbook, unless everything is completely spotless in my house, it drives me crazy. So when I do have a day off, I spend all day cleaning, and then by then its at least 5pm, and I want to go somewhere. Either Rexburg or IF, where ever, I usually have to go to the bank or something. I just can't stay home. Window shopping, anything...I'm not really a home body, I like to be out doing things. Now if I didn't work, I wouldn't mind staying home a couple 2-3 days out of the week and do nothing but scrapbook, but even then I don't know, I've never done that. Work work work, blah blah blah... And...speaking of projects, I did paint that window frame thingy-black, I did sew my curtains, and they are hanging, but I can't do the ric rac, I paid too much for it, and I don't want to screw it up. So I am going to have my mom sew that on. I started on a couple of layouts, but I need to find more pictures. I am indecisive and very picky when it comes to putting things on my wall...I know GIT R DUN! I'll post pictures of the layouts I did last night, later.

Yup...that's right, this Friday. Gulianna freakin' lOvEs High School Musical, she likes to sing "Bop Bop Bop...Bop to the Top" it sounds so cute! She doesn't really watch anything else but this...I have all the lines from the first movie memorized, working on the second, I bought HSM2 in September, not as good as the first, I think.
I don't know if we'll be seeing the movie, opening night, but we'll see. Definitely going to take Gulianna to see it, since she lOvEs it so much! All the singing and dancing...everything about it I guess, I don't really know what goes on in her little brain, but it sure makes her happy! She recognizes the actors pictures everywhere we go...yesterday we were at Barnes and Noble and she went into the other aisle, and I found her staring at a HSM Calendar!
When I am in my scrapbooking room, that is all we play over and over, probably about 3-5 times in a row! I haven't done it for a while, but in the mornings when I would take a shower, I would turn the movie on and she would sit there and watch it, eating her Cap'n Crunch and sippin' her water, it is just too funny to watch her!
And when we're home, and mention High School Musical, she says "eeeuuhhh" and looks over at the tv with pure excitement!

So I just got a haircut, and I wish I didn't. I knew I should have waited to find out where the last person went, that cut my hair, but I just wanted it done. It sucks, it's not perfectly straight and that bugs me. Plus she overcharged. And I'm pissed off with a haircut that I don't like. Blah blah blah...

this is Gulianna now...finally wearing shoes EVERYDAY, and carrying her purse wherever we go. I pulled it out a couple months ago...I actually bought it for me, 3 years or so ago, it is way too small to use as a purse, but I had to buy it because it was pink. Yeah, I know. Anyway it was meant to be for Gulianna because it is the perfect size for her!
{pictures taken 9/29/08}
always on the go!

I have been trying to put together a Halloween party...been planning for weeks, but nothing ever seems to happen until the last minute. So anyway, I was wondering if anyone had any good but simple spooky recipes for anything...really, I know I have looked online, but I want tried and true ones. Any help or links are appreciated!

You absolutely lOvE french fries...although you only know them as "papitas"...I think that's how you say it in spanish...if not then I made it up. When we go through the drive thru at Arctic Circle, I always order you a grilled cheese sandwich. You can eat the whole thing! When you were going through a growth spurt in the summer you would eat 2 of them sometimes! You lOvE to just sit and eat your lunch all by yourself. I didn't give you fry sauce today so that you could do your "dip-its" because these are your new clothes and I didn't want to get them dirty. You are usually pretty careful. I love how independent you are, and your little funny personality, you are my littlest best friend!

I have been working on yet another project. You can call me project starter girl...I always have an idea, so I start it, so that I don't forget about it, but then I don't finish it. I have a problem with that...actually I think I get it from my dad, to tell you the truth...lol.
Anyway, I have had this green window frame lookin' mirror for 2 years now. When Max was getting ready to move over to Ace...he was having a sale on a lot of misc. stuff, I bet this thing was sitting in the back room for years, because it's just ugly! I was originally going to just paint it black and use it in the bathroom or something, when Scrapalicious was in Driggs. But I never got around to it.
Until...I found paper that matched my curtains that I still haven't made...
So with that the creative process started again, and I couldn't sleep last night, because I was thinking and dreaming about it all night! So this morning I started to put something together...
I am going to paint the frame black, use the mirror that goes behind it, on another project that I don't know about yet...and put scrapbook pages behind it, and hang it on the wall, remember this...
that is where it will be hanging...
so hopefully this weekend, I will have:
Wish me luck, I want to FINISH projects and to be able to enjoy them while I can!

Back in September...Levi decided to take a day off, say what!? We went and did the Parade of Homes, we had to swing by Jamba to get some breakfast, I ran in to get our Orange Dream Machines, while Levi sat in the car with Gulianna {she was sleeping}. We set her Jamba in her carseat, so when she woke up, she just immediately started slurping it up! And we were off to see the homes...
It was really funny because when we got to the first one, she wasn't done with her Jamba, I told her to say BYE BYE to her Jamba, and she was slurping as much as she could, like as if she wasn't going to see it again~and now when we get one she thinks that we are going to leave it behind!
Later in the day we met Nancy at the zoo...my {first} time going to the IF Zoo! All summer I was telling Gulianna that we were going to see the animals, we finally got to go, in September! She loved it!
And here she was obsessed with taking off her shoes...
and here is where she was just about ready to jump in, to see the tiger...good thing Levi had a hold of her, but she really wanted in...and almost lost her shoe down there!
and what do you know, a couple of pictures of me and Gulianna!

What I have been doing:
de-cluttered stuff at home, and at the store
finished burning this years pictures on CDs, and organized them in binders
painted the bathroom at Scrapalicious, unfortunately I need more paint
I just want to SCRAPBOOK! I have an idea that I came up with the other day to help me NOT to be overwhelmed with scrapbooking. I am not really overwhelmed with scrapbooking, more overwhelmed with all the thousands of dollars of product I have been guilty of hoarding for 8 years now, waiting for that "perfect" page, and the time to scrapbook, and all the ideas that are ready to burst out of my brain! No more excuses now, I need to just use it up and get r dun! Because I scrapbook to be creative, and I don't care about being "caught up" anymore, wait, I don't think I really did, I always think about it...
Anyways, my pictures are organized in Picasa, but since I was having issues with it this past summer, I think I just had way to many pictures on the program and it just started deleting folders. I scrapbook in no particular order, just whatever I am inspired to work on. But now I have a plan to Git R Dun! I am starting with August and September, I typed up the names of the folders of my pictures: "Blackfoot Fair"..."Gulianna's Birthday" etc...just in Microsoft Word using the square bullets at the beginning so that I can check off what I have scrapbooked. This way it looks like I am accomplishing something, to me.

I was cleaning my scrapbooking room a while back...and I have a ton of finished pages just waiting to be put into sheet protectors and in albums, I probably should have taken a picture of my stack!
{don't mind the carpet...I'm too lazy to crop my pics}
wow, looking at these makes me want to scrapbook!
