we are moving again...we just got back late last night from taking a huge u.haul to Utah. We left Tuesday morning to take our stuff down to Saratoga Springs. We had finally picked out a house that would accommodate our needs. {mainly Levi wanted a 3 car garage}
But then there was just one more house that came up that we had to look at before we made our final decision. So we looked at that home Tuesday night.
So now it was between this home that was pretty nice, but in Lehi, and on a corner, with the backyard to the road, in a nice new neighborhood...or the home that we were already going to get in Saratoga Springs, it has a huge park right behind the house, it is the only house on the street...no neighbors, and a 3 car garage. The only thing about this house is that there is a short sale on it. Meaning we will have to move again, and we don't know the time frame. We had to really think and pray and figure out what we were going to do. Originally we were going down to Utah to unload the trailer and leave Wednesday morning to get another trailer full of stuff, and head back down Thursday morning. If it was anyone else they wouldn't even consider renting a home that had a short sale on it unless it was temporary for them and worked out. But for some reason I found this house, and it keeps calling our name...We both have looked at a ton of homes...searching countless hours on the internet and walking through them to find the right one. None of them felt right. So we just figured we would go with this short sale house. After looking at the home in Lehi, we drove to Saratoga Springs to look at the home we were going to get. We still liked it, but then had doubts. We are so sick of moving and if we are going to live in Utah for a year or so, we want to live in the same house the entire time :)
As soon as we got back to Nancy's I got on the internet and looked to see if any other houses were listed. The same ones were there, that I have been looking at everyday. A couple new ones, but they wouldn't work for us. We have been arguing, and didn't even care anymore, just pick a house and we will deal with it! There was another house in Saratoga, I've been calling it the 'red kitchen house' and I said we could rent that one? But it was only a 2 car garage, and it had to come down at least a hundred dollars to consider. So now we had 3 homes to decide from. We decided to 'sleep on it' and figure it out in the morning. Well so much for sleeping. I tossed and turned all night, and my leg and hip hurt from driving a stick shift. Levi said he had dreamed about the Lehi house all night, and all I was thinking of was the short sale house and the 'red kitchen house' so we made one last appointment to walk through the 'red kitchen house' again to make a final decision. But I still had the short sale house on my mind. We ate lunch and decided to just go with the short sale house. We missed the appointment to see the 'red kitchen house' actually we forgot about it. Either way we would have had to wait at least a day to move in anyways, and we needed to unload the u.haul. So we drove up there, Levi in the u.haul and me in Levi's Bronco II with the girls. Actually Levi was ahead of me a bit, because I had to nurse Isabella before I could leave. As I drove up there...{the view is amazing by the way} I just had feelings of peace and comfort knowing that we had made the right decision for us now, and it just felt like home. {Even though I have been anti-Utah for all these years} :) It's amazing how you can feel like you are at home, and you haven't even lived there before. And I was fighting it big time. But for now this is where we need to be. This is where work is. And this is where we will call home. Only for a little while I say. I still love Idaho, even though it is cold, winter lasts way longer than it should, we have hardly any shopping places, and just fun places and stuff to do. I like being close to my family, and I like living out in the middle of nowhere!
This will be our third time moving...in four months...but we can't wait to be settled again. Even if we may have to move, hopefully it won't be until the spring or longer! There has to be a reason!
