2 major events happened over the weekend...
levi installed our 2 light fixtures and finished tiling the shower!
let there be LIGHT and WATER for showering!
we've had the tile since november...but with all the other projects levi has been working on he hasn't been able to work on ours. everyone seems to be in need of his skillz...between cherrie, kevin and jeremy it's a fight most days to have him work on something of ours...soon it will all be done!? maybe?
our island light fixture has been backordered since we paid for it in november. they finally got it in on friday, cherrie picked it up for us on saturday with colton. which gave levi a free day, so he went to work on the shower and got it finished. we have had the dining light fixture since november but he wasn't able to put it in until after the island one, because he had to rewire everything. that was another nightmare. this place is a mess...people who do NOT know what they are doing should just hire work out. enough said.
then i had to do the dirty work that i've been dreading this whole time...scrubbing the filthy disgustingness and hard calcium off the bath tub. i can't believe people are just so lazy to not clean their bathtub, and they still used it. makes me sick! we were originally going to just replace it, but then soon ran out of money. i put a good 3+ hours in scrubbing and scraping it with a razor blade! most people are out having fun on a saturday night, that night i was doing that. levi even put in his hours of scrubbing and scraping before me... anyway, it's done now!
we were able to say good bye to the big ol' hallogen lights we've been using as our main light source in the kitchen/living room! yes! no more hallogens! and no more trips to cherrie's house just to shower! no more packing our "shower bag" for the day.
*levi still needs to install the small light fixture above the sink. yes i'm tired of staring at those wires...
