i went with their layaway plan, because i knew if it was up to me and just "saving" my money until i had enough, it wouldn't happen. i've never really been the best at saving money, so this was the best option for me! and it's only $50 to do a payment plan. and if you are booking a few months or longer in advance, i would definitely add on their "peace of mind" plan. since we are self employed, we never have a set work schedule. plus you never know if one may get sick, car breaks down...etc right when you are suppose to be leaving!
i was a bit hesitant about adding that at first. because i want to save as much as possible. but now it totally makes sense for us to have it added onto our disneyland vacation package! (and it's only $60. which is far less than what you would have to pay to reschedule your vacation package.
