road trip...

enjoying his new shades! on our way to idaho for RJ's graduation, here's to leaving later than we always plan to, hope we make it in time.

this is how we do young women activities with these little ones, lock them up in the nursery room with toys and check up on them every 5 minutes! the girls had to pass off camp activity stuff today.

memorial day...

hope you all had a wonderful memorial day. may we never forget those that served this great country! i love hanging up my vintage flag.

 

levi brought home some apple soda...i'm suprised anthony kept drinking it, and jeremy couldn't down it any faster!

 

and i worked on painting this bench for a customer.

sunday up the canyon. my kids love to explore and run wild. and i enjoy watching them play together and just being happy!

thank goodness for nap time, and he loves it, just so he can have a bottle. freshly bathed and tired from hiking!

vintage findings...

today's vintage findings! i loved the doilies and the embroidered tea towel, but i had to go for the green, and pears hello?!

heritage day...

we met in the morning for food prep. our youth is in charge of the lunch at the park for heritage day every year. we added sandwiches to go, to the usual sanpete bbq turkey. people would freak out if we didn't continue the tradition! i helped with sandwiches and wrapping. i love assembly lines and packaging. must be the repetition and bulk quantity, so fun!

super excited to go home and finally play with the balloons! and i envision a new polka dot seat cover on this old truck. i don't think levi would go for it. but can't you see it?! 

and just after this...chaos started. fighting over the white balloon? geez. made some muffins. i think i need to be endorsed by lehi roller mills!

 

finally got to sit down for a minute. tried to take a picture with jeremy and he turned around and punched me in the face! one of these days i'm going to have a broken nose. it was funny that i got a picture of the action...

after school we went to soccer camp practice. not sure if i'll put anthony in, but he sure enjoyed today!

went to civilization today to pick up tires and a lift kit for levi. lots of driving! i miss having gulianna with me, we left her at school since she's missed too many days. chick fil a, hobby lobby, visited with nancy, in n out and of course a late drive home!

went to seminary graduation tonight, so proud of these young women!

freshly picked moccs review + giveaway

are these not the cutest pair of moccasins ever??!

they are from the one and only susan peterson of freshly picked! i've followed susan from the beginning...and just love her story which is similar to mine. you have to start somewhere, "do what you can, with what you have, where you are."

i love these little moccasins, i wish i had them for all my kids from the beginning. my kids aren't one to wear shoes, they take after me. even though i love tiny little shoes, i never really bought them when they were babies and through the toddler stage. mainly because shoes never stayed on their feet, and they either fell off or pulled them off. and we would always lose a shoe. so i wasn't about to waste money on shoes that would get lost! now these moccasins are awesome! not only are they easy to slip on, but they actually stay on. jeremy tried to pull them off and he couldn't do it! the moccasins are true to size, and they fit is wide little feet. (she has a printable shoe size chart that you can print off at home and match your little ones foot.) the leather is super soft, and they come in a lot of tempting colors! and i LOVE color! especially the "aruba" pair and have you seen the neon pink??! each pair of freshly picked moccasins comes in this cute linen bag, i honestly don't know if i was more excited for the bag or the moccs! i just love branding and packaging.

jeremy is wearing the prince george moccasins in royal blue. LOVE the blue! we went hiking up the canyon last week in pretty rugged terrain, and he was happy as can be in his little moccs! he gets excited and says "shoes!" and "mocc!"

isabella...

when did you get so big?  she has been trying to be more of a helper than a "pouty girl" but of course she still pouts :) she's very independant and likes to do things her way or not at all! she's been sick, so she missed her last day of school and her field trip. but sleep and resting was much more important. she was excited for her preschool graduation!

old door towel rack

i get so busy that i forget to share and post my projects. i tend to just move on to the next one to get things done! we got this done back in march. so glad it's up and functional. i love old doors. and i can now say that i have one (or two or three) in every room now!

 

we added funky knobs and some in polka dots (of course) to the old door, i love to mix and match different styles. i didn't paint this one, just left as is. i did sand the paint that was flaking off, and added some stain.

i sewed some ribbon to each towel so that they can hang from the knobs. make sure to measure first before cutting ribbon, so that it will fit over the knob. i actually did that! 

kindergarten field trip...

isabella had a field trip today...getting ready for kindergarten! oh my! she was excited! anthony and jeremy got to join in too. storytime about butterflies, and then they got to do a little project on butterflies and their chrysalis.

jesse...proud that i was in his class! "hi aunt alicia!" 

strap that kid in the stroller! he was about done at this point.

i can't imagine.  lots and lots of prayers for this family for the loss of their sweet little boy. when i visited her instagram to see photos, the one of ryan running at california adventures sure got to me, for we were just there. his face in that photo above reminds me of my niece kara. visit jacqui's blog at baby boy bakery, she has the most precious photos with her husband and son. please donate on their go fund me page. #redballoonsforryan

while the girls are still sleeping

the boys are outside playing early this morning.

they were playing on their "rides" better than disneyland, no long lines!

back at it...

i unpacked, got a few loads of laundry done thursday. etsy orders out, ran to moroni for some ballet tights, grocery store. and then friday morning we went straight to work in the yard. lot's of raking, picking up branches, pulling weeds and my favorite: cutting the grass! 

the older three got to haul off the big branches to the big hole, where are root cellar is going in. 

and they all had to fill up ten wagon loads, each! except for jeremy he got to pull them :)

we made it home safe! 

back to the country life...

jeremy always claims his seat on the rototiller.
