are these not the cutest pair of moccasins ever??!
they are from the one and only susan peterson of freshly picked! i've followed susan from the beginning...and just love her story which is similar to mine. you have to start somewhere, "do what you can, with what you have, where you are."
i love these little moccasins, i wish i had them for all my kids from the beginning. my kids aren't one to wear shoes, they take after me. even though i love tiny little shoes, i never really bought them when they were babies and through the toddler stage. mainly because shoes never stayed on their feet, and they either fell off or pulled them off. and we would always lose a shoe. so i wasn't about to waste money on shoes that would get lost! now these moccasins are awesome! not only are they easy to slip on, but they actually stay on. jeremy tried to pull them off and he couldn't do it! the moccasins are true to size, and they fit is wide little feet. (she has a printable shoe size chart that you can print off at home and match your little ones foot.) the leather is super soft, and they come in a lot of tempting colors! and i LOVE color! especially the "aruba" pair and have you seen the neon pink??! each pair of freshly picked moccasins comes in this cute linen bag, i honestly don't know if i was more excited for the bag or the moccs! i just love branding and packaging.
jeremy is wearing the prince george moccasins in royal blue. LOVE the blue! we went hiking up the canyon last week in pretty rugged terrain, and he was happy as can be in his little moccs! he gets excited and says "shoes!" and "mocc!"

a few weeks ago, i booked our first trip to disneyland through Getaway Today! i have been waiting anxiously to do take my girls there for four years now! i went with their layaway plan, because i knew if it was up to me and just "saving" my money until i had enough, it wouldn't happen. i've never really been the best at saving money, so this was the best option for me! and it's only $50 to do a payment plan. and if you are booking a few months or longer in advance, i would definitely add on their "peace of mind" plan. since we are self employed, we never have a set work schedule. plus you never know if one may get sick, car breaks down...etc right when you are suppose to be leaving!
i was a bit hesitant about adding that at first. because i want to save as much as possible. but now it totally makes sense for us to have it added onto our disneyland vacation package! (and it's only $60. which is far less than what you would have to pay to reschedule your vacation package.

I was asked to be the guest designer for my friend Kim's monthly kit club, Express the Moment! Express the Moment is a monthly kit club that feature 3 kits: scrapbooking, cards, and recipes! Layer die cuts, and embellishments...
After punching out paper die cuts, I always scrape the edge with some old scissors, and ink the edges with distress ink, so that it looks more finished...and gets rid of those bits of paper, from punching it out.
Oh Deer...
I just happened to find the perfect photos to use with the scalloped die cut with the cute little reindeer on it! These were taken in December of 2005, on the Teton Pass, wish I could remember why I was going to Jackson?
I also like to add chipboard behind diecuts to give it some depth...so the page isn't so flat looking :)
I wonder if my journaling should be white-tailed deer, or just white tail? Hmmm...
All I want for Christmas...
Just a few things on my list... lol, if we actually bought Christmas gifts for each other! We stopped doing that years ago, because we always buy whatever we want ourselves, it's hard to shop for both of us, so what's the point in buying things any more? I do however really want a new lens for my camera, don't know that I will get it for Christmas, but soon enough, I will get it :)
Gulianna and Santa...
Lots of fun patterns on this page, one tip to share, is that I actually cut 5 inches off my patterned paper {background} because I knew it would just be covered by the red polka dot strip of paper, that way I could still use the back of it, which is the cute multi colored polka dot strip used underneath the buttons.
Every time I would step away from working on these layouts, Isabella had to sneak over and grab my brown zig writer...I see some evidence on the title :)
Buttons! Buttons! You always have so many, I often find myself sorting through them, and saying, oh I can't use that one, and that one and that one, because they are too cute, that must be where the phrase "cute as a button" comes from, ha ha! But there comes a time where you just need to use them! Here I lined them up on my page, another cute idea would be to make a Christmas card and form the buttons into a Christmas tree, so simple and fun!
Framed Home Decor...
When I first saw this paper from the kit, I knew right away that I was going to just frame it! Subway art is such a huge trend right now, and this is perfect for holiday decor! I just used my favorite 12x12 frame from K&Company, I've had it for years now, actually I have two :)
Patterned paper is so fun to just trim and put in a frame, with so much out there, you are sure to find some to match your home decor. Make a collage on your wall or shelf, and combine with some of your favorite family pictures.
I do have to say that when I took my other frames and signs off this shelf...the star flipped over, knocking my letter K down which then grabbed my camera along off the hutch and ended on the floor. The K broke, and I tried to glue it together but it won't hold. My camera is fine, luckily...just my luck though, everything tumbling down!

Anthony Levi is 8.5 weeks and can crawl to the edge of the bed {as of today}, okay scoot on his stomach, but still! And he may or may not have 2 bottom teeth coming in already!? He weighs approx. 12 lbs or more, we weighed him on our bathroom scale.
{past milestones}
First smile within the hour of being born :) First real laugh at two weeks old, it was in his sleep, and it went on for a while! He rolled over from his back to his stomach at exactly one week! Weighed a little over 10 lbs at around 5 weeks. Grew out of newborn diapers at 6 weeks.
Anthony loves to smile and talk and laugh, and most importantly EAT! Hungry all the time! He holds his head up really good! This little man is strong! We love our little brother!

I loVE February...mostly because there are only 28 days, even though it's still only 2-3 days shorter than a full month, technically it's a 2 week month, which goes by so fast. And one month closer to summer :)
This month always seems to fly by, I guess as most days and months do anymore. I wanted to do something fun, since last year I missed out on all the fun holidays...I was super sick all winter long. {I bet I had the worst case of the swine flu, but I'll never know, because I didn't go to the doctor, okay I did go in one time, but that was after the worst of it}
I love Valentine's...mostly because of all the chocolate, Valentines, and fun stuff, people being happy and spreading the love for one day, really it should be like that everyday. I would say roses & flowers and such but I'm not big on flowers, they die anyway because I forget to water them. But I do love Gerber Daisies! I remember when I was little, and I got to pick out which Valentine's I wanted to give out, and I would carefully read each one to make sure I signed it and gave it to the appropriate person...I didn't want to send out any wrong messages, lol!
And I love pink & red! So I will be sharing something for every day of the month of February, all things pink + red! I don't even really know what I'll be sharing, just going with each day!
