more scrapbook pages for jen over at the project girl!
you know that little strip on the bottom of the 12×12 patterned papers that shows the pattern on the back side? well i love to use that on my pages! sometimes if i only have that one sheet, but need another little piece to coordinate, this works perfect! and i added that cute little bicycle stamp, fits perfect in that little collage on the patterned paper.
i found that my butterfly stamp is just about the same size as my butterfly punch…so i layered the punch on top of the stamp! love it!
this "19" sticker worked perfect for my page...isabella and anthony are 19 months apart!
products used: my mind's eye lost & found 2, heidi swapp stamps.

here's my layouts i created with the march kit from express the moment.
when i start to scrapbook the first thing i do is pull out my photos that i want to work with...i look at the photos and see what colors i can pull.
from there i start collecting paper first, then embellishments that coordinate. i lay it all out together and then start building my page. sometimes i already have an idea or a certain look i want to create, other times i just start from scratch.
for this one i knew exactly how i wanted it to look!
i LOVE these page protectors, you can add lots of photos!
i added more embellishments on top with pop dots for more dimension!

i actually scrapbooked this past week! even though i almost forgot how...i had everything set out and realized i didn't have any adhesives! kind of hard when all my scrapbooking is still packed in boxes.
anyway...i enjoyed scrapbooking again...it's been so long.
this is what i created with the february moments kit from express the moment.
these next couple of pages, i *scraplifted* from amanda, because i just loved them sooo much! you can see her layouts here.
i made a coordinating page for this one...
can't wait for some new photos to print and complete these pages!

this was my scrapbook room in our last house that we rented. other than the white walls, {not being able to paint and the hideous carpet} i loved this room! it was fairly small, i just needed more room to have a bigger table for when i make a mess. but it still worked. at first i complained of the tiny closet, then i soon found out that it didn't matter. it was best NOT to just stuff a bunch of stuff in there to be hidden. i put everything out that i actually use. it's much easier that way than running back to the closet to pull out one more thing. i didn't have room to put the little table i had at my store. in my new room i will, then i can have my sewing machine out!
full of my favorite colors combos, favorite things, eye candy every where!
i've had lots of fun finding the perfect bowls, buckets, jars...etc...
to store all my fun things in.
can't wait til i can unpack my stuff again!
my dad made this hutch. holds everything perfectly!
my favorite corner of my room!
here's where i'd sit on the floor looking through scrapbook idea books when it was too hot to sit outside!
my favorite pictures...i still need one of isabella and anthony up there.
my idea books on an old step ladder shelf.
i love to store embellishments in cute bowls and cups! especially if they have polka.dots.
bottom shelf holds: patterned paper in accordian organizers. more heidi swapp stuff, idea books, cardstock that wouldn't fit on the top shelf. and my printer. anthony sure loved it at his level! makes me sad to see this picture though. in that corner is where my computer tower and external hard drive. that's the time it was trying to be worked on. i lost all my photos and files from 3 years. still makes me sick. please back up your files!
here's when i painted this frame...
more old wooden boxes to hold my punches, chipboard, bind it all.
red + aqua! can't get enough!
this little aqua mug...from the di, see my kids get in my stuff! E6000 has been very useful!
my mini red polka.dot bowl is perfect for holding my memory cards and pink shuffle.
button jar was from an old candle.
green tin containers hold my wooden alphabet stamps and all my adhesives.
aqua lid: i bought it at the di...i loved it so much, levi told me not to buy it because i would never find something to fit it! i left it in the durango, so that everytime i was out on the hunt i could see if it would fit something, anything, a jar, bowl, glass hurricane. it took me a year, but i found it! see? NEVER say never. yes. i love justin bieber's music!
my very FAVORITE picture of levi...
all my favorite patterned paper is kept on these black 12x12 letter trays...
my 8.5x11 cardstock is organized in black magazine holders from wal.mart.
heidi swapp product...labeled and stored in wooden boxes with my very favorite scalloped gingham ribbon!
my fabric stash kept in a basket.
i got lucky and bought this brand new pottery barn organizer at a yard sale, ten dollars! there is one more piece, i didn't have room for. works perfect for my stamps and smaller patterned paper.
tiny alphabet stamps, tiny attacher, loose chipboard alphabet letters, vellum tags stored in glass jars. some were from my wedding reception. and some i had to buy back after we dropped them off to the di. seems like they always have them!
red and pink buckets from walmart, during valentines. i got lucky at di with the same red one for twenty.five cents, years later! they hold my pens, scissors, misc tools, foam brushes, decorative scissors and hole punches.
i painted my ribbon jar lids to match my hutch as one of my summer projects. they look so much better! can't wait to paint my bakers rack this summer. it'll be black.
these were my curtains i made for my store, scrapalicious. i love them! i wish i didn't lose my pictures of my store. i wanted to make an album with them to remember it.
my cupcake jar...holds my hidden chocolate!
only levi wasn't so sneaky one day so now the girls know.
closet stuff:
photos stored in cropper hopper cases. all my embellishments, stickers, etc...sorted by theme or holiday and are in these drawers. scrapfolios: all my stickers, rubon sheets organized in dividers. pink accordian organizer is all basic grey paper organized by lines. other scrapfolio has all chatterbox paper. oldies...but goodies!
i used to have all my carded ribbon and embellishments hanging on my black shelf in my old room, but now i use that in my living room, so it worked perfect to hang them on the rod in the closet. and i finally got smart and put all my flower jars up HIGH. my girls loved to empty them out and sort them daily. fun for them...not me! + my hallogen...always need a hallogen light for some serious scrappin'...
my framed quotes i made. the red one was from an emergency preparedness event i did for my church calling. it's a good reminder!
i took apart my SHE book and made this. i'll get a new book, my cover faded from being in the window.
this was my mother's day present from levi! ahhh i love it so much! still need to add a few things to it.
this is where i would edit pictures, blog, pinterest...
on my not very comfortable stool.
the only thing i'm missing that i really want is a vintage typewriter! and one that works so i can use it for journaling. i'll take one in pink, red or aqua!

made a quick, simple mini album for Levi for Father's Day...this Sunday. Turned out cute! And it's g r e e n !!! {and it matches my giant pear!}
If you haven't figured out what to give your father/husband for Father's Day, make him a mini album! You still have time! It is small, simple and quick, he will appreciate it much more than just another tie to add to his collection!
It took me a bit longer to make, between my kids fighting and me being distracted from all the messes they make! But you have my photos to scraplift or go off of! I say you can make it in an hour! Go for it!
Gather your supplies...this is what I used from the June 2011 Moments Scrapbook Kit from Express the Moment. Cardstock, Dad stickers, ribbon, fabric strip, 7gypsies tags...I picked the ones that would work for Father's Day. {transparencies, and a few scraps of paper are from my personal stash.}
Gather your photos, I printed wallet sized photos at home. {Here's my quick tutorial HERE.} You could use a mixture of wallets and 4x6 photos, or just 4x6 whatever your preference! Then assemble your book!
Cut word stickers up, stack them, add a cute mini staple, and that's it! See- s i m p l e!
Instead of taking off each number sticker, I just cut the whole strip and adhered it to my page, added a couple staples...this way, I got to include the green behind the stickers.

We got to my parent's house late last night right before midnight...only Anthony and RJ were still awake, playing PS3 of course. Actually my dad was awake too, working in the shop as always. I started making this banner {thanks Rhonna!}so that it was hanging up for my mom when she woke up in the morning!

This was the album I made a couple weeks ago...I love the colors...feels like spring going into summer.
Actually today was HOT! It felt more like summer! No April foolin' here!
I also gave my blog a new look...guess I better update pictures on my current scrapbook room as well, I will add that to my project list! Guess it's already been a year since we've been here! I remember unpacking my stuff like it was yesterday.

Here's how to put 4 wallets onto either a 4x6 print, or 5x7...that way you can get what you want, instead of multiples of the same picture at Walmart, Sam's or Costco! I like doing it this way, because wallet size photos are perfect for mini books and pages, I take a lot of photos and can't ever decide which ones to use, most are slightly different, yet they capture different personalities in each one, so it makes it easy to fit more on a scrapbook page!
{I just use Photoshop Elements...I would love to upgrade, still haven't done it yet!}
Open up a new document and set your canvas size to whatever you want 4x6, 5x7 etc...and then open up 4 pictures that you want to use. On each picture, use your manual crop tool and resize them to a 2x3 inches at 300dpi. Then use your move tool and move them onto your new canvas. Flatten, upload and print! You can do this on any photo size, just make sure you do a little math, so that the photos fit!
4x6, 4 photos {2x3 inches}
5x7, 4 photos {2.5x 3.5 inches}
Hope that makes sense!

Levi and I were talking about how much we enjoy our hobbies and why it makes us happy! I can't quote him exactly...but he was saying how some people just don't understand why he would spend thousands of dollars into building his bronco, he does it because it allows him to be creative and build something that he loves. Same goes for me and scrapbooking.
Hobbies are a passion. It gives you that drive to think and dream creatively. The inspiration that we get to cReaTe. He loves to walk into his garage and just open up all his drawers and see his tools so neatly organized, and see his Bronco next to mine, and his road bike...and everything else in there! He said he's just like me when I walk into my scrapbook room. We have everything there and when we have an idea we can just walk right in and create something. "You grab a photo, pick out your cardstock and paper, and ribbon and 'fibers' and create that page that you had in your head"...yes Levi said that! He knows too much about scrapbooking, but it's because he knows that I love it, and I'm passionate about it! He said something that stood out to me..."as much as we love what we do, it doesn't matter if we ever get it done, although I will finish my Bronco, but it's that creativeness that we need and thrive on..."
I don't worry about being "caught up in scrapbooking" {although it would be nice!} I know I will never scrapbook every photo I ever took. I'm not on a deadline. I just enjoy making whatever I want, when I want.
This hangs on the wall in the garage next to all of Levi's photo collage of broncos...I gave it to him for Christmas. It's a reminder that I am always right :)
{ok, and him too! although, last night he admitted that I am almost always RIGHT! so I win!}
This quotation says it best:
"Happiness is not in the mere possession of money; it lies in the joy of achievment, in the thrill of cReaTiVE effort."
This is what I'm using right now...
I was talking about these embellishments the other day, that is why I have been dying to find that Making Memories houndstooth paper! To use with all this stuff!
Talking about passions...made me think of this page I finally finished last year...in Cherry's circle journal. Her book was on passions & pleasures. {sorry it took me for.ever!}
What are you most passionate about? What are your hobbies?

I found my long lost houndstooth paper today. {along with a couple other papers} I have been missing it since we moved.
I bought it in Oct of 2009...then we moved in November, and I don't know why, but it has drove me crazy not knowing where it was, and not being able to find it! But I found it today...I can't even tell you how inspiring it is! Maybe because it matches stuff that I bought at the expo last year...I tell ya, when something gets stuck in my head, it really gets to me! Sure I've made stuff since then...but I have been dying to use this stuff since I bought it...but I couldn't because I wanted my paper too! Okay rambling on...can't wait to start scrapbooking pages again! I don't think I'm making any sense? Any way, I found my missing paper sandwiched in between scrapbook paper from my store! Which I did start to take everything out and set it up in the basement...so I can sell it all. I want it gone. I have come to realize that I am okay if I never have a store again. Of course I would like too, but for now, I would rather have all of my inventory gone, displays and such too. That way I can get more of what we need in our food storage, like diapers, wipes, toilet paper, personal hygiene stuff etc...we have a lot of food, but we could always use more, but we need to get these items as well.
Also...I've been going to the chiropractor regularly. Actually for about a month now...I think. Time flies. Any way...I have never been to a chiropractor until just recently...and I had no choice but to go, because I literally could hardly walk, it has gotten so bad. It's my tail bone, but for the past 6-7 months or so, I've had problems with my left leg/hip...I've never really known how to explain myself! But basically it gives out...and I have almost fallen lots of times, too many to count. Sometimes even while holding Anthony. Luckily, I've never fallen completely, I've always caught myself against the wall, or counter, car...whatever happens to be there. Levi says I need one of those 'life alert' buttons. Actually that would have been helpful, on several occasions. It's been very frustrating. Not being able to walk normal. Not being able to go places by myself with my kids. I have, but since the last time I've gone out, I realized that it's not smart...unless I have Levi or someone with me. So I will either go by myself, or only take one kid. Only because I can't bear weight on both my legs evenly, I can't chase after Isa, I can't hold the heavy carseat, and grab a hold of my girls' hands while walking into a store! So I went to the chiropractor and he took x rays and looked for sublaxations and such... and wow, I have all sorts of problems! Isn't that what happens when you see a doctor? They tell you everything that is wrong with you! So my right leg is shorter than my left {I think, I forgot already, it could be the other way around} and I put more weight on my right because of my left leg/hip...he said it must be from an injury, possibly when I crashed on my dirt bike...years ago. My neck is out and curved wrong...{again probably from the dirt bike} he says he sees that in patients from car accidents involving whiplash. My sacrum is tilted and is off so much...probably from having kids, hmmm what else. Oh yeah...my jaw, doesn't shut like a normal person, it shifts several times before it actually closes! Wow, who knew! So I am on a schedule of regular weekly visits, 3 times a week for a month, then two times a week and then one time a week. So hopefully by May, I should be better? Well improving anyway. And I've been so good at going at working out...up until 3 weeks ago, when he said I had to hold off for about a week, which secretly that night I went to work out anyway, because I'm stubborn. And then about killed my back! I did stop. Then that next week we got sick. Then I worked out a couple times and we got sick again...now we are back to getting better. It has been very discouraging though...I remember the first adjustment he did. I was anticipating too much, I knew it was going to hurt...I said 'mother fuuuuuudge' no I didn't swear, I really just said fudge, you know like on the Christmas Story! The chiropractor thought it was funny. I did say a few other swear words though, I couldn't help it! Now I'm getting used to it...but I still hate the 'drops' that he has to do...freaks me out, and it kills my leg, but whatever it takes to make me walk normal! He says I have a weak muscle and so the nerve is shooting pain and making my leg give out. It's a nuisance, please make it stop!
But that's about all I've been up to lately...just trying to get my family over this sickness crap, the usual chores that make my life feel like the movie Groundhog Day, and not staying caught up on my 365 photo blog...maybe tomorrow??

I wore these cute flats today, bought them last year for my birthday. Actually the real reason was the sandals that I wore at the mall were killing my feet! Then I bought these and made them even worse! Still trying to break them in...ahh the pain that we put our feet through for cute shoes!
We had a secret sister activity for church Tuesday night, and this is what I picked out for mine. She loves yellow and chocolate truffles. I love anything with polka dots! That is why I made these into tags for the prizes. It was fun to get to know more about everyone, I feel like I still don't know who everyone is...
Yellow is such a happy color! Looking at it makes it feel like summer already!

Instead of explaing to you how every thing went wrong today...I will leave you with these. Yes I am finishing them up started these tonight and need them for tomorrow night...procrastinating, it's what I do best. I actually started to do them last week, but with being sick, and every time I tried to work on them, just didn't work out. But see how cute they turned out? They wouldn't have been nearly as cute if I actually did them early!
*And as always...I use the cutest stuff from House of 3!

Every year I make Christmas cards. And every year they either don't get finished or don't get sent out. It's not like it's that hard to do, but for whatever reason, I can't seem to finish the project?
This was as far as I got with last years...
Then I was going through a bunch of pictures yesterday and found an envelope with a bunch of ones from 2008, so most likely those didn't all go out either...If you didn't get one, this is what it looked like:
So for this year, I'm just going to add pictures onto last years design, print and send! Call me in an hour to see if I actually did it, I most likely will get distracted with something else...
We woke up to a lot of snow yesterday morning, it's been raining off and on for days. I was enjoying not having snow!
Don't ask me how my December Daily album has been going...
I had to order some new photo paper, because I was sick of my glossy stuff that I have, and I figured if I was going to scrapbook daily, I better just print at home. Well I got the paper in 2 days {this was the first week in December} then I printed a couple pictures and was out of yellow ink! So then I ordered some ink from here, but of course I was too cheap to pay for shipping, so I shipped it for free, and it came the following week. And now Christmas is in 3 days!!!
By the way, if you aren't in a hurry for ink, or just don't want to pay for shipping like me, order from LD Products, I just got 6 ink cartridges for $20.99. Much cheaper, usually I would by them from Walmart or Office Max for $10 each! They always give you 10% off, right now it's 20%, just use the code ENDYEAR. I just order the remanufactured ink cartridges.
I'm almost done cleaning up my scrapbooking room, and then I'm printing pictures. Oh wait. I was going to work on Christmas cards! See what I mean!

I was asked to be the guest designer for my friend Kim's monthly kit club, Express the Moment! Express the Moment is a monthly kit club that feature 3 kits: scrapbooking, cards, and recipes! Kim also offers local pick up in Idaho Falls, so you can just order your kit online, and pick up when you do your shopping "out below" :)
{that saying did always drive me crazy when I would hear it!}
Here are my projects, using product from the December kit! Lots of vintage Christmas goodies!
Waiting for Santa...
I love how this page turned out, I love the colors of course!
Layer die cuts, and embellishments...
After punching out paper die cuts, I always scrape the edge with some old scissors, and ink the edges with distress ink, so that it looks more finished...and gets rid of those bits of paper, from punching it out.
Oh Deer...
I just happened to find the perfect photos to use with the scalloped die cut with the cute little reindeer on it! These were taken in December of 2005, on the Teton Pass, wish I could remember why I was going to Jackson?
I also like to add chipboard behind diecuts to give it some depth...so the page isn't so flat looking :)
I wonder if my journaling should be white-tailed deer, or just white tail? Hmmm...
All I want for Christmas...
Just a few things on my list... lol, if we actually bought Christmas gifts for each other! We stopped doing that years ago, because we always buy whatever we want ourselves, it's hard to shop for both of us, so what's the point in buying things any more? I do however really want a new lens for my camera, don't know that I will get it for Christmas, but soon enough, I will get it :)
Gulianna and Santa...
Lots of fun patterns on this page, one tip to share, is that I actually cut 5 inches off my patterned paper {background} because I knew it would just be covered by the red polka dot strip of paper, that way I could still use the back of it, which is the cute multi colored polka dot strip used underneath the buttons.
Every time I would step away from working on these layouts, Isabella had to sneak over and grab my brown zig writer...I see some evidence on the title :)
Buttons! Buttons! You always have so many, I often find myself sorting through them, and saying, oh I can't use that one, and that one and that one, because they are too cute, that must be where the phrase "cute as a button" comes from, ha ha! But there comes a time where you just need to use them! Here I lined them up on my page, another cute idea would be to make a Christmas card and form the buttons into a Christmas tree, so simple and fun!
Framed Home Decor...
When I first saw this paper from the kit, I knew right away that I was going to just frame it! Subway art is such a huge trend right now, and this is perfect for holiday decor! I just used my favorite 12x12 frame from K&Company, I've had it for years now, actually I have two :)
Patterned paper is so fun to just trim and put in a frame, with so much out there, you are sure to find some to match your home decor. Make a collage on your wall or shelf, and combine with some of your favorite family pictures.
I do have to say that when I took my other frames and signs off this shelf...the star flipped over, knocking my letter K down which then grabbed my camera along off the hutch and ended on the floor. The K broke, and I tried to glue it together but it won't hold. My camera is fine, luckily...just my luck though, everything tumbling down!
Thanks for looking! Be sure to leave a comment to be entered to win this month's kit from Express the Moment!

Here are my inside pages 1-16. I can't believe it is already December and time to use this album, I started it back in August, just 5 days before I had Anthony, time sure goes by. And to think that all these pages except the last 3 were already completed in just a couple days.
I have pages 21, 24 & 25 done, so I have 6 more pages to do...I will get those finished and then share 17-25 if I am not to busy!
More info on December Daily visit here on Ali's blog!
Album Cover
I may redo this page, I haven't liked it from the beginning!
We are getting our family pictures taken on the 16th {finally!}, so I planned for a 5x7 family picture on this page!
I love the mix of page sizes, and papers that I am finally using! Almost can't wait to bind it!

just finished putting this frame together, and I love it!
I finally put this frame to use, it was scratched up in the corners from moving...so I added some aquamarine paint...and this print from House of 3. I uploaded the print to Persnickety Prints last night and Levi picked it up for me this morning! This was my first time trying them, I love the finish on the photo! The only thing is that I had to trim it to fit the frame, so the top and bottom is a little cut off. That is going to bug me, so I will resize it and print it again...but maybe later lol!
I'm going for another round of the 21 day Challenge by Rhonna... starts tomorrow, are you in?

yesterday, i started my cover for this...
i know a bit early, but i want to have it all put together, so that i can enjoy each day in december! and have a finished album at the end of the month! i have had all this stuff picked out from my scrapbook stash and sitting in a bag for 2 years now! i was going to start this in december of 2008, but it never happened...then i said the next year for sure, and then we moved... so now here is another year, and i'm gettin' r done :)
the december daily album is a concept that Ali Edwards started several years ago...i've been excited about it ever since! you can view her albums from each year on her blog, i love them all!
these are all the papers i picked out to use in this album, a mix of old and new, vintage and my favorite celery/olive green color.
this is my cover...i'm using Teresa Collins bracket cover, it already comes red! the inside pages will be a mix of different sizes, no bigger than 8x8. i still can't decide if i am going to bind it now, or at the end? i'm working on each page now, so that when december comes i can just add my pictures and journaling for each day. i plan on using Ali's december frames as well as a few other digital things of hers...

Some days I would feel sorry for myself because instead of working and running a store, I just wanted to be home scrapbooking for myself...
but then I put together all my finished pages from the last year {and some from the year before}...and I actually did scrapbook something!
that's a lot of layouts! and I didn't even count them...dang it!
And now most all of them are put in sheet protectors and into my albums! It's about time! I did run out of sheet protectors and I need to buy some more 12x12 albums one for 2008 & 2009, and I guess this year too :)
I made a challenge for myself that I am not going to buy anymore scrapbook stuff and use what I have, with the exception of the basics like adhesives, albums & sheet protectors!
Oh...and House of 3 digital stuff doesn't count :)
But then I remembered that CHA was just a couple weeks ago, and I thought of all the new product coming out! Ahhhh! Does it ever end? It's an addiction I tell ya! I will allow myself to buy some of the new Parisian Anthology collection!
Any way... I repaired a couple of pages that Gulianna got into while they were displayed at my store...she has ripped off so many flowers off my pages!
here are some of the layouts that I put into albums...
this one is one of my favorites! love this hs paper! {scrap lifted from Keisha C.}
fun butterflies!
and I love this one too! I had forgotten that we used to call Isa 'Happy' because she was always such a happy baby! This is why I scrapbook!
{scrap lifted from Heidi}
these 2 pages wouldn't stand up together...
and I love this line from Making Memories...5th Avenue! one of my very favorites!
So I've been trying to get even more organized...I thought I already was :)
But now all my pictures that are on my external hard drive are organized by date. I already had them in folders by year 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010...but now when you click on each folder there is a separate folder for each month and then when you click on the month each folder is organized by the exact date that the pictures were taken! And I have a lot of pictures! This will help when I am scrapbooking...because I remember events by dates, and I always stamp the date on my scrapbook pages too.
Yesterday I spent most of my day going through my scrapbook paper, and got rid of about 2 inches worth :)
Remember this post? yeah...what a waste!
Just trying to get rid of what I know I won't use... and yet, there are lots of papers that I don't want to use, because they are just for looking at! Any body with me here? :) I went through my Christmas paper and got rid of a ton...and then I went through my Halloween paper, and I love it so much and can't part with it! I love Halloween! There was paper that I could have gotten rid of...but I bought it for specific pictures...so I need to just hurry and use it!
Okay...back to organizing!

Hiding from my family...they are all sick, and I'm not! Levi has been in bed all day {watching movies & sleeping}...Isa has taken a couple naps...and Gulianna has been watching tv and playing with her babies. So tired of wiping noses, I hate when they are sick!
Now I am trying to clean up another mess in my scrapbook room! I've been putting a stack of layouts in page protectors...and into albums! I now need a few more 12x12 albums!
I took some pictures of some layouts before they went into my albums...I'll share tomorrow!
August 08, 2010 | Permalink | Comments (0)
I have made a couple layouts here and there...
These are my most recent ones that I made last weekend, and I even used some older Making Memories paper!
I loved using these page protectors from We R Memory Keepers...I've been wanting to use them forever!
I glue dotted the flowers on top of the page protector...
and I even made a couple cards with my scraps...
some other layouts I made a while ago...
"Sometimes I feel that I have spent more time organizing my scrapbook stash than actually scrapbooking...But it makes me happy knowing that everything has a place!"
And that pattern paper strip says... "Time you enjoy wasting, is not wasted." Ah yes...fits perfectly! Because I really do enjoy organizing my stuff...by color, by manufacturer, etc...it's just so exciting!
I love this color combo together!
And I've even added some pictures to my Summer Mini book too!
Now I'm trying to get my scrapbook room back in order...between fabric and paper...my little table is piled high!

i finally got this done on Tuesday night! a little late, but he liked it. it just brings back so many memories and things you forget when you look at pictures! our girls are getting so big...already, not fair.
i started this book last Thursday i think? and stayed up late to get it done, so that i could get pictures printed at Costco Friday morning...but that didn't happen. I did laundry and got our things packed so that we could go camping for the weekend...

actually more like 14 hours! Levi has been working in Washington DC for 2 whole weeks! can't wait to pick him up tomorrow! We survived! I was forced to make some food...and I didn't kill his flowers outside, we missed a couple days of watering them but they are still there! And his seeds that he had planted actually sprouted and they are huge now! I don't know if I will be able to sleep tonight!
I didn't sleep very well last night because I haven't been able to find my heidi swapp alphabet stamps and a few other sets...I have opened up every box...where are they!? I woke up this morning around 3am...so I went downstairs to go through some more boxes, and then went back to bed around 7:30am!! And now it's almost 1am...just got done cleaning the house, bathrooms and all! I have a bit of an ocd problem when it comes to cleaning, and I am constantly cleaning!
Good night! or morning!
{ps Cherry wish i still had some hs transparency wings!}

i've been feeling real sick the last couple of days...i had 'morning sickness' lol! not from being pregnant but from staying up way too late in the 'morning' ha ha get it? thursday night i was up till 2 am, and last night till almost 4 am! so thankful that i actually don't get sick...because if that is what it feels like, ugh! i was seriously feeling like i was going to throw up!
anyway...this is what i have been working on! and i'm proud to say that i completly finished a project in 2 nights! we should celebrate! lol!
i used the 4th of July Kit from House of 3, and with a bit of scraplifting from Heidi on her book here. The book is 6x9, and i bound it with my lovely bind it all!
i used the elements from the kit and made the pages, then printed them on white bazzill cardstock. all the polka.dot papers are from the birthday background kit! and the red is from scenic route, from my paper stash. i also used some papers from the french oo la la kit too.
then i just used star embellishments and ribbon from my stuff! gather a bit of everything that works with the book so that you don't have to get up and search for it every 5 minutes! i used to do that and would waste so much time :) i used mostly heidi swapp & making memories embellishments.
here is the front cover! i also used my favorite distress inks! a must have in scrapbooking! 'Fired Brick and Broken China' matches perfectly!
and this is what my table looked like this morning...the aftermath of a finished project :)
and here are the inside pages! 16 in all!
for the back cover i just mixed 2 different colors of red paint to match...and then used the 4th of july banner from hof3 and one of heidi's brushes! just wish my handwriting was like hers :)
seriously so fun! this is why i scrapbook, to be C R E A T I V E !! and i actually cleaned up my table! first time ever! i am so ready for my next project :)
for more close.ups of my pages you can view them HERE in my mini book album:)

We enjoyed our quiet weekend together at home. Levi got the garage cleaned out and his stuff organized, I cleaned the house {and now it's messy again} the girls played outside and even took a couple naps! Levi made my favorite pasta salad for lunch, and I made the dessert :) We hung our flag outside, and Anthony stopped by for a quick visit before he headed back to the Marine base in California. I am thankful for his service as well as my Grandpa who served in the Navy, and my uncle Mark who was in the Marines too, and of course all the others out there! So grateful that Anthony made it home safe from fighting in Afghanistan, he almost didn't.
I remember as a child...Memorial Day weekend was always spent with family and we usually went to the park for a picnic! We never visited any grave sites, I think because no one was dead, well that and if we knew of any relatives and where they were buried? I don't know. The same with Levi...when he was younger. Of course now we have a couple grandparents who have passed, and if we lived closer we would definitely pay a visit :) I think the first time I have even visited a grave site on Memorial Day was my grandma's, which was in 2006, and I miss her so much. I think about her every day and wish she was still here.
Since Levi and I have been together Memorial Day weekend usually marked the first camping & boating trip of the year...usually at Palisades, and we would get rained on every year! It's seems that you can always predict crappy Idaho weather for that weekend every single time. A couple of those years we stayed home and I scrapbooked with Claudia and my sisters. Now that we have our little girls, I think we will carry on the picnic tradition :)
This was a book that I made 3 years ago for a good friend. And I just remembered that I started a Marine book for my brother that same year...I better finish that!
more photos of my Memorial Day book that I made here:)

i don't know if you all knew that yesterday was National Scrapbook Day! yup...pretty much a dedicated holiday for us! Which means I usually go and buy more stuff that I don't need...but stuff that I had to have :) Claudia and I celebrated by going to the MM Warehouse sale! It has been too long since I was there last!
And I have been putting my scrapbooking room together all weekend...and it's actually coming together--quickly! I have been without my stuff for too long! Some of it I had seen...when we moved from our home to the 'brick house' in Rigby, I tried to have it all in my store, but some of it still managed to get in the storage unit. And then we moved to Utah, and I didn't unpack it all because I knew that we would be moving again.
At last...we get reunited again :) I have to say that it has been fun going through all my scrapbook stash, but at the same time overwhelming because it's quite ridiculous what I have. But I almost have everything in it's place...and most things are gone through and sorted out of what I don't want anymore. I can't tell you how many times I have organized and reorganized my stuff! But it's so exciting!
I was frustrated because I didn't have a desk and a big enough closet to store most of my things. Last week, I set up a big table in the corner...and started unpacking, and thought, where am I going to put all my cardstock & paper?! Then I put a smaller hutch on the top of the table, and that solved some of it! I was able to put my cardstock and paper and boxes of embellishments on the shelves. Then the next morning I went in, and my table was literally sagging because it was too heavy, plus the hutch top was about to topple over on me and kill me! It was then that I realized that I needed to put the big hutch in my room (both the top & the bottom) which I didn't want to do. Levi told me to move it in there in the first place, but I refused. 'I told you so'...so he was right. But it works p e r f e c t l y ! I am still missing some stuff that belong in my room, just have more boxes to go through. I don't have my computer set up yet...but maybe tonight!
(the rest of the house is still a disaster...I hope to hang some of my home decor tonight though! moving is such a pain!)
And last...I can't wait to buy some of this fabric! I have been waiting and waiting!
This is Cosmo Cricket's newest fabric line... Early Bird! Oh what to make when I get my hands on some :)
happy Sunday!

speaking of Heidi Swapp...this post is long overdue! I guess that happens when you move twice before the holidays and such...
anyway...our lovely weekend with Heidi! If you have never met her...she is seriously so fun to be around, she just has this energy that you feed off of! She is a genuine, spontaneous, spunky fun girl!
I have loved her creativeness & her style from the very beginning...have I really been scrapbooking for 10 years now? I can spot her layouts from miles away :) I love her handwriting!
I am going to cheat a bit...and just copy & paste from this past post...
I remember when we {me & Cherry} first met her...it was at CKU Provo 2005. We took her 'She' class, and it was the best class ever! Totally inspiring, everything that we ever wanted. She is a wonderful teacher all about 'techniques' and just a genuine sweet girl. Then Cherry was embarrassing because she couldn't get her own actual rub.ons to work :) {I don't know if you even remember that Heidi} So Heidi came over and assisted Cherry on one of her pages...ohh the memories we will keep for.ever.
Then the next year for CKU Provo 2006, we didn't register in time, for her 'exclusive crop' and we were the ones peeking in the doorway, wanting in soo bad :)
Cherry & I are right smack in the middle! {okay except someone had to be sandwiched in between us for some reason} lol :)
I remember this trip so much! I may have to dig up some old pictures!
Well on with the event...after we had set a date for Heidi to come and teach, we found out that we we had to move again, as if I needed more stress at that moment! My store was a mess...because I tried to fit most of my personal scrapbooking stash in my store, {I did NOT want it in the storage unit, but some still got divided} I have to say that is just about a store in it's own :) Because Levi was then working back and forth from Utah, and I had to run my store, {we moved next to my parents} me & the girls often spent the night at the store, as crazy as that may sound! But it sure beat driving back and forth. It only took a couple of late nights there, to realize that it would be best to just stay there!
But I got just about everything done that needed to be, right until the last minute of her arrival :)
I did get a bit frustrated...when one of my orders didn't ship on time...but the others did, so I was frantically entering in orders in the computer, and of course I had my little helpers too...this was just one of the many messes they made the day before, I didn't take a picture of the box of toothpicks that were everywhere...twice!
and here is Isabella...just enjoying the aftermath!
On Friday...I was still doing last minute things, and some things weren't going as planned, like Levi was supposed to get off work early and take the girls so that I could set up over at Heidi's Fudge, so I had to take them with me, back and forth. I'm thankful I had Claudia come and help too. I remember that because we had moved...all my clothes were still packed, and I got lucky at the last minute to find something to wear. I really wanted to just stop in at Maurices and shop for something new, but I didn't even have time for that! And...I desperately needed my bangs trimmed...oh how I wished I had more time!
So here I am...still entering inventory, I had some last minute messy "piles" to clean up, I still had the girls, waiting for Levi, thinking I still had at least an hour before she arrived, and I still was 'open' for business in the midst of all my to do's...so in between everything, I was ringing up customers. Then in walks Heidi & Nicole! I totally was just expecting more customers until I looked up....ahhhhh! Hi Heidi! So much for being presentable lol!
Looking back...I wish I had taken more pictures, I have about 10 from the whole event! So not like me!
Heidi teaching...{dang it's blurry}
I can't remember exactly what time classes ended on Friday, I don't think it was too late? I went to Broulims to get what I needed for lunch the next day. My sister Annareigh and I stayed at my sister in laws house, they were gone for the weekend. If I remember right, I was browning ground beef after midnight...because I knew I wouldn't have time to do it in the morning.
Our plans were to meet at 7am in Idaho Falls for breakfast! Super early if you ask me! So that would have meant that I would have to get up at 5:30am to get ready, and leave at 6:30am to be on time...yeah right, what's that!
So here I am getting everything ready for lunch on Saturday, at midnight, because it was technically the only time I had to do it! We were having taco soup! mmm! After I got everything prepared and cleaned up...I tried and tried to fall asleep, but my mind would not shut off...I kept checking the clock, 2:30am, 3am, 4am...ahhh! I have to get up in an hour! Needless to say, I NEVER fell ASLEEP! Seriously! I was super tired! And really I hardly got any sleep all week! It made it harder that I wasn't in my own bed...and that Levi & my girls weren't with me...they went home for the weekend, which again, was not the plan. I wanted them to stay in Rexburg, but Levi decided that they needed to be away, so that I could enjoy my weekend! So thoughtful, but it would just have worked out better if he was closer! I was still nursing Isabella...so by Saturday night I was about to burst, I literally could not lift my arms. It was dreadfully painful to fold chairs and carry stuff in and out when we were cleaning up!
Okay on with breakfast with Heidi! My friend Kim Rose won the drawing to have breakfast with her! She was so excited! She chose Smitty's in Idaho Falls.
Nicole, {she owns Lime Ricki}Heidi, and Kim!
Of course I didn't leave exactly on time...Annareigh and I were going to meet Cherry & Claudia in Ucon...we were trying to load everything, making sure we didn't forget anything! Speeding just about the whole way...and everyone trying to call me at the same time...my phone rings just as I was suppose to get off on my exit, I passed it with all the distractions! ahhh! Kim calls and says Heidi is not there...what!? Weren't you supposed to pick her up!? oh no, did I just forget to pick up Heidi and Nicole! We had talked about it late Friday night, but I thought that we had decided that we would all just meet there...so I call Heidi back, and she said oh no, but they missed the exit too! phew! I had to do an illegal uturn on the divided highway :) and we both got there within minutes of each other! Talk about panicking!
Heidi...making sure she facebooks to her 'fans' :)
isn't SHE beautiful! inside and out!
me {looking very tired, and wishing I did my hair, I did straighten it but whatever!} Cherry, Heidi, Annareigh {with her glasses, because she didn't do her makeup, or because she's just cool like that} & Claudia!
I think Saturday went pretty smoothly, we had more room...and it was more personable. The classes were great! And because I'm a stand up scrapper I took advantage of most of the counter...
I loved the Energy Journal class the most...I needed that more than ever!
loved the packaging for the heart kits from House of 3! I ♥ Hof3! Can't we make it House of 4 Heidi? :)
We also had some of these cute cupcakes from one of my favorite places, The Cocoa Bean...thank you so much Gloria for dropping them off! And they are now open in Provo! So happy about that!
We all had such a great weekend together! I am thankful for everyone that came! Thanks to Kris over at Heidi's Fudge for letting us take over the building! {which by the way is the BEST fudge ever! And caramel apples, my absolute favorite is the 'apple pie'}
And thank you Heidi for coming to the little town of Rigby to teach some a.mazing classes! Fun memories!

last month...I got lucky...because someone didn't claim their prize on Heidi's blog...so they picked me instead!
I got this mini kit from Crazy Daisy...thank you! I ♥ winning!
and I got even luckier...when that one sheet of Heidi Swapp paper was in there! yes! I needed that!
Last night i went to Sandy, to the Scrapbook USA Expo, and got to shop for scrapbooking stuff without my girls! I had an idea earlier in the week that I was just going to take them with me, but I'm glad I didn't!
I first stopped at the SEI booth...
I wanted to get some of their newest paper, but I refrained myself!
I'm guessing it was around $18-19, they didn't give me a receipt...
I got these ABC brads at the Rusty Pickle booth...the last time I tried to order these they were discontinued! I guess they found some in the warehouse! These are my favorite! I am sad to see them close their doors, they have been one of my favorites from the very beginning.
I spent a whopping $5.77 at Scenic Route... wow! The paper was .20¢ each so I got 20 sheets, and the stickers ended up being .10¢ each! {the sign said .50¢, but they clearanced them even more!} and a set of chipboard, that I may have already?
I like these first set of papers...and I found the matching stickers, then I picked up the boy paper, and later realized that it matched the same set of stickers...so cool!
I will also miss Scenic Route too :(
yes...I know I don't need any more Christmas paper...but I've been wanting these...mostly because of the cute stickers!
I *might* already have these, okay I already have the whole line, but I needed 2 more sheets *wink*
I love these ones...perfect for summer! love orange and green together!
a few more papers...one for 4th of July, the Easter strips that I don't have, and the other today strips that I don't have, but will go with the rest of the line that I do have :)
ahhhh...vintage Heidi Swapp! makes me happy, but sad! When I stopped there, my heart was panicking :) Then I realized that I pretty much owned everything...I picked up
I say I did pretty good with not going crazy overboard with everything that I already had...it was very tempting, just because Heidi Swapp product is no longer available, it is now vintage! And I only say this because I already have 2, maybe 3 or even 6 of all of her stuff! I know, I'm crazy! But I love her stuff!
now this kit..."Life Documented" from Memory Works, has to be my very favorite purchase of all! I would have been happy just buying only this! I love that it is colorful, yet rustic...so my style! And I love love love all the colors in it! I really can't wait to start creating with it! It is specifically for an album to document the whole year! Now I need a special album for it! I usually don't go for kit type things...just because I like to put things together and create as I go...but like I said, I love this!
Now if I happen to die early...please bury all my scrapbooking stash with me because I am selfish :) and I love to look at all the pretty stuff...I have spend years and years collecting!
"SHE who dies with the most scrapbooking WINS" lol...I've always wanted some vinyl to put in the inside of my scrapbooking closet!

well I started this 2 weeks ago...
and what do you know, I haven't finished it :)
I can't find my mod podge! And I have too much, I don't need to buy any more!
I printed these cute polka.dot shamrocks out onto white cardstock, from 2 Peas, then cut them out, inked them, and glued them onto chipboard. I just need to mod podge them and punch a hole and string some jute through them...they are going on my St. Patrick's tree!
And I'm mad that I forgot to stop at Porter's while I was in Rexburg to buy a polka.dot dish towel for my tree skirt! Dang it!

we stayed home, and didn't go to church. Levi, and both Gulianna and Isabella have been sick since a couple days before Valentine's...and I've only been slightly sick, until this morning. It has been a long week of sucking snot with a nose syringe from their little noses, can you really suck out someone's brain, because it sure seems like it! Poor girls. Now they both have bad coughs. Gulianna coughed all night. Off and on I would give her a cough drop. Then I remembered the 'spoonful of honey' remedy...I asked Levi if we had any honey, and he thought I was calling him honey...yeah, he was still sleeping. So I went downstairs to see if we had any, and we had a big container of honey that was rock hard. Must have gotten frozen from all the moves we had. So she continued to cough, and then finally fell asleep.
I woke up sick. Now I feel like crap. Isabella breathed and coughed on me all night. Levi made breakfast for us, although we didn't have any more potatoes, so he made fried okra...nasty. yes I tried it. He went to the store last night, why didn't he just buy more potatoes if he knew we were out? To torture me with fried okra :)
The girls watched cartoons...Mickey Mouse 'Cubhouse', Gulianna doesn't say her 'L's only on certain words. I watched a couple recorded shows, then fell asleep. I never take naps. I hate naps. They are not for me. And when I do...they just make me grouchy. Everytime. I just feel like sleeping is for night time, and there is always something that I could be doing. For me it's a waste of time. And yes, I get mad if Levi takes a nap, because he could be doing something other than sleeping. It doesn't happen very often though.
So I wake up grouchy and then hear that the girls are upstairs having a free for all in my scrapbooking stuff. I just have boxes, and boxes sitting upstairs in a room, and in the open room as well. I was planning on setting it up, but then I stopped because, I would just have to pack it up in a couple months. And when I scrapbook, I make a huge mess. Plus I still have a garage full of scrapbooking stuff...mostly all the store, but my personal stuff is mixed with in...that's another thing. Even if I were to scrapbook, I couldn't unless it was all out. Every bit of it. Even if I'm not going to use it all...I have to have options and choices. I've always been that way.
Reminds me of when we used to get together and scrapbook, or go to a crop at a store, and we would be the ones bringing our whole rooms because we didn't want to leave anything behind. And then we would scrapbook one page, if we were lucky. I miss those days.
So after Levi got them out of my stuff...I closed the door in what was going to be my scrapbooking room, and started going through the misc. bags of things. Then I found a container that had some catalogs from the scrapbooking companies I would order from. I looked through some. Some were really old. Like 2005. But I remember all the product. I loved ordering and picking the cutest stuff. I threw them away. Then I came to a pile of old, and I mean really old unfinished scrapbook pages. It was the stack that I have gone through over and over...and I still can't seem to finish them. Some are still cute, and then some are so cheesy, I want to throw away, but I won't. I will finish them.
Then the next section of stuff was magazine cutouts. I haven't done this for a long time!
I used to subscribe to just about all the scrapbook magazines...{now I don't even have a single subscription!}and then after a year or so, I would go through them and cut out my favorite layouts and articles, and then I gluestick them onto plain white cardstock, and organize them into categories. This was a huge stack that never got into the binder. So I went through it...and minimized it to about half. I loved looking back at all the old layouts that I liked so much, some of them were too old so I through out but then some were still old and I still liked them! And I saved some of my favorite advertisements, like Making Memories and Heidi Swapp. Just brings back so many memories of product, what was in, what music I was listening to and who's house we were scrapbooking at.
I liked looking through all the articles of Heidi that I saved...all her older scrapbook pages...not a whole lot of product, but always new techniques, and the focus is always on her pictures and the memories, and being creative and true to her style. I love her and her work, she is very genuine and just fun to be around.
I can't wait till I have gone through all of our misc. stuff that just got shoved in boxes and bags. And when I can set up everything again in my own scrapbook room. We thought that we were going to move to Moroni...yes very far away, but the home sold...and so we are still looking. Hopefully something will come up soon!

can make or break a habit... so many things that I need to focus on right now...so I am doing Rhonna's {21} Day Challenge! Hmmm...what do I need to work on...
1. Being healthy, meaning losing weight...just started TaiSlim last week, and it has been great so far! {By the way if anyone is interested...you can order or enroll through me!}
2. Scrapbook daily. I was looking back through some of my pictures and I am forgetting little moments. I want to scrapbook and journal things right after they happen. I always put it off, and for why...I just need to do it.
3. Be more productive with my time. I start so many projects and things...I need to just work on being able to start and finish something, that way I will get a lot more done. This also has something to do with bigger goals...dream big! Thanks Heidi, for all your kind words and encouragement :)
Also...I don't even have time to be posting this, but I needed something to motivate me, we will be done moving in a couple hours, sooo sick of it!

So the other day Levi was looking at some of my scrapbook paper that I was getting rid of...and said
"what a waste, I know for a fact that every inch of paper is about thirty dollars, and I would know because I was standing right behind you, when you would buy it!"
sadly enough, it is true.
All those fun shopping trips in Utah. And countless trips to Roberts.
But that was before I had a store, which now I buy wholesale. okay, except when I go into other stores...shhhh :)
{you can never have enough paper?} right, that's what I keep telling myself.
I often wonder if I stacked up all my personal stash of paper at home, how high it would actually be?
{can you hear my evil laugh? I can and it's scaring me :)}
But luckily enough, I am married to someone who also has {ahem...expensive} hobbies as well. When Levi is done with his Bronco, he will have spent well over $40,000. So glad he finished mine first at around $16,000. Because he loves me. But then he said that mine is going to look like a piece of shit compared to his Bronco.
Well then guess I will be driving his :)

I am horrible about sharing things...mostly because it takes time, and then I think of things when I don't have the internet around, blah blah blah...
for those of you that are into coupon.ing, I can't say that I am totally into it, because it takes a freaking lot of time, and it gets too complicated for me. But I like to save here and there. Mostly diapers.wipes.cereal.
you know, the essentials. {for me}
I have found two helpful{overwhelming} but helpful coupon blogs:
And Kayla has been so great to start her own awesome blog of her great deals that she finds! You can visit her new blog here!
Next...I was checking emails, and I almost never check my junk mail, but I happened to today, and found an email from Making Memories and they were notifying me that my layout was added to their May Idea Gallery to let people vote on their favorite layout. Well had I known, I would have let everyone know sooner, so vote for ME! I wish I would have taken a better picture, because it turned out dark. oh well. That was forever ago that I had even submitted it! One of my favorites...
Cute Sleepyhead
So if you want to take the time to Vote for mine, I'd appreciate it! You can vote HERE! Note: You have to click, and then scroll down to the VOTE button!

So once again I have started on something, another mini book project. Actually I have started on about 10 projects this past couple of weeks: more curtains, magnet board-which I actually finished in an hour, more kits for Scrapalicious, stained the coffee table, but I was lazy and didn't condition the wood first, so now Levi is pissed, rearranged the living room furniture, -almost done, I need to be home...and starting my new addiction of making hair bows.
Boy have I been inspired these last weeks, must be spring! Sunday afternoon we were outside, got my first sunburn of the year...then on Monday Gulianna and I were outside most of the day, and boy did I get fried. It is nice to be outside in the sunshine, but then after wards you have to deal with being uncomfortably burnt! And then I get allergies from being outside, which they got really bad, and turned into a cold. So now I am sunburned and sick, why me!? At least my sore throat is gone, I believe I got it from sneezing so much. lol.
And onto my project...
I was inspired to start this book when I saw the Teresa Collins- Journal It Girl paper, specifically the one with the mini calendars, so it went perfectly with my challenge. As of April 1st I proposed a challenge to myself to start exercising. Something that I never have done. Because when you grow up skinny you don't have to worry about it, until one day you get married, and suddenly the weight comes with it. I believe it has to do with growing up, being comfortable with who you are, and then bamn....you are suddenly not who you used to be. {that's my case anyways} I have always been able to eat whatever I want, and as much of it, and not gain any weight. As a kid, I always remember my mom exercising, which she still does, and I remember her saying to me, your lucky you won't have too. So it was her, I got jinxed, lol. Just kidding. Excuses excuses. Not that I haven't been uncomfortable gaining weight, it certainly isn't appealing to me. I just want to be healthy, okay let me rephrase that, I just want to be a healthy weight. Because I don't eat vegetables, with the exception of lettuce, tomato, carrots (raw), onion...okay there is a few more, but I am very picky. And Levi loves to make cookies and good food, all the time, hey, it's his fault. Because I don't cook. And I could never be a vegetarian or vegan. I like my steaks and cheeseburgers. No I have not seen those sick videos about animals and such, but I'm sure it wouldn't change my mind. I even watched that movie "Super Size Me" or something like that, the McDonald's one, and it just made me want to go eat there! Sick I know. Lmao.
Anyway this mini book is a perfect journal for me, and for what I want to accomplish for the rest of the year! Plus it's pink & black, ♥ it!
I used the calendars on each page, with extra inserts and room to journal about my progress. I pretty much just stuck with Teresa Collins and Heidi Swapp, they work perfect together! So there you have it, and I'm not one to share my personal crap either, but I was proud on putting this book together in 2 hours, started at 11pm last night!
